GloriaFood is closing. Our doors are open, and we take requests
Oracle has set 30 April 2027 as the end of life for GloriaFood. On that day the free ordering widget, the paid add-ons, the GloriaFood POS and the partner program all stop, and every GloriaFood ordering link and QR code stops taking orders. If your restaurant, or your clients' restaurants, take orders through GloriaFood, you have about five months of real working time to move.
I want to say three things in this post. First, what the shutdown actually means, without the scare copy that is going around. Second, how I would plan the move if I ran a GloriaFood restaurant or a GloriaFood reseller business. Third, an open invitation: DelivApp is ready to take GloriaFood customers, and we take special requests. If GloriaFood did something for you that you cannot lose, tell us, and we will work to close that gap.
What is ending, and when
You keep taking orders until the last day, and you know which dates to plan around. Oracle's end-of-life FAQ (version 1.0, March 2026) and the GloriaFood homepage both name 30 April 2027 as the end of life. GloriaFood stopped accepting new signups in April 2026, and the website and branded app plans are no longer sold.
A few dates matter more than the headline:
- About 31 March 2027: the last date GloriaFood accepts renewals. Paid add-ons run on 30-day terms, so online payments can stop in early April, before the end-of-life date.
- 30 April 2027: ordering, the free plan, payments, POS and the partner program end.
- About 30 May 2027: the 30-day window to retrieve your data closes, and so does the window for partners to claim final commissions.
Oracle's own food and beverage page gives 31 March 2027 as the end of service. My advice is simple: plan to be live on your new system by mid-March, and treat April as a buffer, not a plan.
Oracle has said it cannot recommend specific providers, and it offers no migration tool. Every restaurant will make this move on its own, or with a partner it trusts.
Why this one stings
GloriaFood users lose more than a free tool. GloriaFood earned its place honestly. It was free if you took payment at pickup, it took no commission, and it was simple enough that a restaurant could set it up in an evening. A lot of GloriaFood restaurants paid little or nothing for years, and a lot of agencies built a business selling it.
That is why the conversations I read among restaurant owners are less about features and more about trust. People ask what it will cost, whether the next system will let them leave with their menu and their customers, and whether staff will have to relearn the tablet and printer routine in the middle of a busy service. Those are the right questions, and any vendor who answers them with a countdown timer is not listening.
How I would plan the move
A move planned in this order keeps orders coming in on every day of it. If I ran a GloriaFood restaurant today, this is the order I would work in.
- Export everything now. Your menu, your client list and your order history. Do not wait for the 30-day window after the shutdown.
- Write down what GloriaFood does for you. The delivery zones and fees, the receipt layout, the promotions that run on autopilot, the pizza builder, the Facebook and Google links. That list is your requirements document.
- Decide what you need beyond a widget. If delivery is a big share of your orders, or you run several locations, choose a system for the business you are now, not the one you were when you signed up for GloriaFood.
- Run in parallel. Go live on the new system while GloriaFood still works, and switch your traffic over one channel at a time.
- Replace every link and QR code. Website button, Google Business Profile, Instagram, Facebook, printed menus and flyers. This is the step people forget, and the one that costs orders on 1 May.
What DelivApp offers GloriaFood restaurants
A GloriaFood restaurant that moves to DelivApp gets its own ordering channels, delivery operations and reporting in one system. DelivApp gives each restaurant its own white-label website, iOS and Android app and kiosk, for dine-in, takeaway and delivery, with no commission on orders placed through them. The team configures the system, designs the ordering experience and connects payment and delivery providers. You can read more about online ordering with DelivApp.
Where DelivApp goes further than GloriaFood is everything after the order is placed. DelivApp dispatches orders to your own couriers automatically, gives them a native courier app, shows every courier on a live map, and sends overflow to a network of 20+ delivery providers by your rules, your own couriers first. That is delivery management, and for restaurants that deliver, it is usually where the real savings are.
Two things answer the fears I hear most:
- Your menu has a place to land. DelivApp menus are built from categories, products and extras groups, with per-product schedules, sale by weight and per-channel availability, and menus import and export by file. Details are in menu import and export.
- You see what happens to every order. Every order shows its source, device and payment, and the customer service screens include abandoned carts, reviews and the customer list.
If you already send GloriaFood orders to DelivApp
Restaurants already on the integration change only the ordering front end and keep everything else. GloriaFood lists DelivApp among its integrations, and some GloriaFood restaurants already send their delivery and takeaway orders into DelivApp dispatch. For you the move is the smallest: your couriers, dispatch rules and reports stay exactly as they are, and we replace only the ordering front end. You can start that today and switch over well before April.
A word to GloriaFood resellers
Resellers who move to DelivApp keep their brand, their clients and a product they can sell for years. GloriaFood's partner program ends with the product, so a reseller has to move a whole book of clients, not one restaurant. I think resellers are the people this shutdown hurts most, and the people least served by the offers out there.
DelivApp lets agencies, resellers and POS providers sell ordering, loyalty and delivery management under their own brand, and run every client merchant from one dashboard. Your clients see your brand on every screen. And you can offer them something GloriaFood never had: delivery operations, not only an ordering page. More on how that works is on our page for resellers and tech partners.
We take special requests
You get a straight answer on every gap, and we work to close the ones that matter to you. No platform does everything every GloriaFood customer did with GloriaFood. Some of you have a printer setup, a market or a workflow we have not met yet. Tell us. On the first call we will say plainly what we can set up now, what we would build, and when.
DelivApp has been configuring ordering and delivery for restaurants, chains and delivery companies since 2014. Every module is set up to the way the business works, from account-wide rules down to settings per branch, zone and courier. Adapting to how you work is the job we already do every day.
If you are weighing your options, our GloriaFood alternatives guide lists the right pick for each kind of business, including the cases where another product fits you better, and the GloriaFood vs DelivApp page compares the two row by row. When you are ready to plan your move, the GloriaFood migration page is where to start.
